Because all bags are made from strong, high-quality leather and feature a perfect finish, they will last for years. Bear products are sustainable items that are also produced sustainably. Bear consciously chooses to produce with respect for people and the environment. This means that the artisans receive a fair wage and that the leather is processed as environmentally friendly as possible. Bear has been doing business with the same factories in India for over 25 years. This ensures not only a strong business relationship but also high-quality products. Most of the employees have been working there for a very long time.<\/p>\n

The leather used in the bags Bear manufactures comes from India. The cows there live outdoors year-round and live more or less in the wild. Due to these conditions, the cows\u2019 hides often have a well-worn character, which is also reflected in the bags. Every Bear Design bag is unique. Bear Design\u2019s leather is largely tanned using organic methods. After the tanning process, the leather is treated with wax and oil. This yields the distinctive colors and provides the leather with good protection against water. The leather is of a beautiful and supple quality.<\/p>\n

To ensure your bag lasts even longer, we recommend treating it with beeswax or leather conditioner over time to refresh the leather\u2019s texture. If you treat the leather with beeswax, it may darken slightly; if you\u2019d prefer to avoid this, use leather conditioner instead. Proper care of your bag contributes to the durability of Bear\u2019s bags.<\/p>\n
